Strawberries

Food is best when you pick it yourself, isn't it?

Strawberry picking!

(My basket is way less full than my mom's because I kept taking photos)

So after we had way too many strawberries to deal with, we returned home to make a chocolate strawberry tart with this recipe. It basically consists of making an oat crust (we chose to use steel cut oats, but I don't know if I recommend this), a chocolate filling, and placing sliced strawberries on top.

Our final collection.

Cooking the filling

And when you have some extra filling, chocolate covered strawberries is a great solution!

Yum.

Part 1: Cooking With Rosie

Just so you know,

SNACK PACKS EXPIRE

You'd do well to remember that...

With that said let's move on to other adventures of the fridge. I don't really know what to do with the stove, so I stick to things that don't involve much heat. I had this for lunch yesterday, and it's AWESOME.

Another thing I can do, toast. Ta Da, breakfast this morning.

(I can't do coffee. my mom made that...)

Starting out

So, I moved out of my college dorm room on the West Coast a little over a week ago, am home in the DC metro area for about a month more, and trying to make lots of money while simultaneously getting totally prepared for this crazy trip I'm about to depart on. I also want to learn how to cook. Sigh.

Lots to do, not a lot of time. I'll try to document as much as possible along the way. Especially the cooking part. That's important for my living situation in Copenhagen. And seeing as I am clueless to the matter, it should be fairly entertaining photographically.

So stay tuned.
